You hear it on the news. You read it in the newspaper. Movie stars, sports stars, and dignitaries have been stricken with fatal diseases. Oh, yes, they pay exorbitant amounts of money to find "cure-alls," and they offer their services to aid and educate the public regarding their illnesses. There is not a thing wrong with that, but many have never become free from their diseases.
I thank God I have found the "sure-cure." You see, I am dying, but the way I see it, so are you, and you, and you! We are all dying in some form or fashion. My death has a name-multiple sclerosis, a brain disease, a nerve malfunction in the brain. Yet, don't feel sad for me, because each day that I feel weak, each day I have pain, each day my thinking is confused, clouded or just blank, I gain strength and get closer to my Heavenly Maker. I draw closer to Him with each physical obstacle I encounter.
Not to know, even in our weak and sadden conditions that we can gain strength from our loving God, could be death everlasting to our lives. God gives us everything we need. From the very beginning, He abundantly supplied everything to Adam and Eve-their food, water, and shelter. Whatever God created was theirs, except the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Obedience to Him was essential to their salvation.
He also gives us spiritual food, water, and shelter (His peace from life's trials). So we should read His Holy word, study it, and obey it! The prescription for healing is in His word. Take the medicine, swallow it whole, and gain much strength! God's word cures what ails us!
