Celebrating Singleness
Often times we as single saints are
guilty of spending a vast amount of time wondering and
praying to our Father to send us a mate so that we may
marry. But I say to those single folk, stop, stop
asking God for that mate for He knows the condition of
your heart. Instead ask Him what is it you can do for
Him until He sends the person He wants you to have. Ask
Him to use you for the ongoing of His Kingdom, just say,
“Use me Lord, until You use me up!!!”
There is much for a single person to do,
to give our lives over to our Father. To receive all He
wants us to receive, the callings and the gifts that He
has for us. For us to say yes to all He wants us to do
and all He wants us to receive and all that He has for
us is right there, without worrying about how our mate
(if we were married) would feel or react. Being able to
run to Him and not to man or woman for anything is a
beautiful thing to do.
To place God first in our lives is more than praying and
worshipping. It is a matter of turning all of us over
to Him. It is throwing open every door and allowing the
Holy Spirit to come in and dwell. I know you are saying
married folk can do the same thing and they can, to a
certain point. But, it is us single folk that have the
advantage of getting closer to God and doing more for
Him than a married person can. Sure, some of us have
children, but the amazing thing about that is if God
wants us to relocate and provides the when, how, what
and why and we present it to our child(ren) using the
Words our Father gives us, children and teens are more
resilient that we can ever imagine. We (adults) are
pretty much the ones that are hesitant to make that step
for we are “afraid” of the unknown. “Afraid” of
stepping out there, not knowing what is going to
happen. “Afraid”, we may not know anyone. That is our
time to learn to trust our Father, who has already made
a way for us long before He let us know there was
anything He wanted us to do.
So I say to all the singles out there, focus on all our
Father has for you. Focus on all He wants you to be
doing. Focus on all He wants to give you, for if we
spend all our time doing, learning and saying all our
Father wants us to, there will be less time for us to
get into stuff we have no business to get into.
Are there any out there up to the challenge?
If
so, let us run on and see all our Father has in store
for us.
